On Sunday July 11, 2010, at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg, will be held the Closing Concert of the 2010 World Cup, as a ceremony prior to what will be the football match for World Cup Final between Spain vs Holland.
The FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony was held just before the final (Kick Off: 17:30 UK) and will be broadcast live to 215 countries to an audience of over 500 million viewers.
The ceremony will feature the singer Shakira, who will be playing the World Cup song (“Waka Waka”), also involved more than 780 artists, including Ladysmith Black Mambazo (winner of several Grammy awards), Jozi, Stoan Seat, Slikour, Zuluboy, Abigail Kubek, Theo Kgosinkwe, Afrikaans artists and flautist Wouter Nianell, Nigerian 2Face, Samini Ghana’s traditional or popular South African group Ihashi Elimhlophe.
