Closing Ceremony of Fifa World Cup 2010 Live Streaming

It is the last few days of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and already melancholy is in the air. Millions of people around the world are wondering what they will do with themselves once the tournament ends. But at least there is one spectacular event left to look forward to before the tournament ends – the closing ceremony on 11 July at Soccer City in Johannesburg.

Performers at the ceremony will include Shakira, who will perform Waka Waka with our very own Freshly Ground, Grammy-award winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo, also a South African born artist and Miley Cyrus. 738 of the 1500 performers from the opening ceremony will also be participating in the closing ceremony. There will be a fireworks display after the match.

The chief executive of the VWV TILL DAWN Consortium, the organisers of the opening and closing ceremonies said that “Our brief for the opening was to celebrate Africa and South Africa and the uniqueness of it, whereas our brief for the closing was to celebrate the tournament and the participants”.

A number of foreign dignitaries are expected to attend. Hollywood stars Leonardo di Caprio and Charlize Theron are also expected to attend.
