The West Bengal police have said that the Gyaneshwari Express accident “appears to be the work of Maoists.” Police have found flags belonging to a Maoist-backed organisation at the site.
A section of the rail track was found missing and fishplates were loosened, West Bengal Director General of Police Bhupinder Singh told.
